Stoddart Group’s Business Development Manager, Warren Bromfield, is a man on a mission.

As a leukemia survivor, Warren, knows too well the challenges and overwhelming journey associated with such a serious illness.

For Warren, he is one of the lucky ones, and this second chance of life has been a catalyst for Warren to help raise research funds and awareness for the Leukemia Foundation.

Because Cancer Sucks

Warren will be hosting the Because Cancer Sucks charity night at Club Menangle on 14th September where the money raised will be used to help drivers who transport patients to their hospital treatments and support services.

There will be lucky door prizes, a Calcutta, photo booth, raffles, auction and a DJ.

The journey and the foundation

According to Warren, the Leukemia Foundation was a godsend to him and his family in providing invaluable support.

“When you are at your lowest, knowing that the foundation was there every step of the way was of great comfort to me and my family.”

“The physical, mental and financial challenges are enormous, but I was fortunate enough to undergo a bone marrow transplant and got a second chance in life. I am forever grateful that a stranger, who donated their bone marrow, saved my life.

“I am not at the stage where I have regular three-month check-ups and can now keep up with my 7- year old son, Oliver.”

“We look forward to seeing at the charity night. It is shaping up to be great fun!”
